SIMPLE LITTLE WORDS: What You Say Can Change a Life
By Michelle Cox & John Perrodin
Honor Books, 978-1-4347-9997-5, 208 pages, $14.99

Sometimes we just need to know that we’re loved and that we’re worth something. Gathered by Michelle Cox and John Perrodin, Simple Little Words tells an assortment of true stories that remind readers of God’s unending love for us; we’re worth everything to him. The collection shows us that, while it may seem like the world is caving in and everyone hates us, in fact, there are people out there who genuinely care about us.

Authors of various backgrounds recount times when something they said blessed another person, someone said something encouraging to them, or God reminded them of scripture verses that gave them courage during hard times.

Simple Little Words fits well in any Christian library. The stories, written by authors such as Sherrie Eldridge, Ann Kroeker, and Karen Kingsbury, captivate the reader. They address people of all ages and roles in life. Anyone can play an important part in someone’s life with a few, simple, encouraging words. HW
